Clinical features
Symptoms:
- breathlessness
- dependent on aetiology
Signs:
- decreased chest wall movement on the affected side
- mediastinum and trachea shifted to the affected side if the result of an absorption collapse
- vocal fremitus is absent
- percussion note is dull on the affected side
- decreased breath sounds on the affected side
- there are no added sounds.
