Aminopeptidase

Aminopeptidases are digestive enzymes:

  • secreted by acinar cells of the pancreas
  • secreted by enterocytes onto the brush border of the small intestine

They are exopeptidases which cleave the terminal peptide bond at the amino end of a peptide or polypeptide.
