The clinical features of small intestinal lymphoma include:

  • abdominal mass
  • perforation
  • anaemia
  • biochemistry:
    • raised ESR
    • raised C reactive protein
    • hypoproteinaemia

The Mediterranean form may manifest in a younger patient than the Western one, and with systemic features such as fever, clubbing and cachexia. Patients with lymphoma secondary to coeliac disease commonly present with renewed weight loss and steatorrhoea after a period of dietary stabilization.
