Each pressure palsy should be treated with splinting and physiotherapy to avoid contractures. Prognosis is excellent.
Anaesthetic feet are particularly prone to ulceration and chiropody and good footware should be encouraged.
The patient should be advised to avoid sleeping in unusual positions or places.
Life-expectancy is normal.
