  • topical steroids are classified dependent on their potency
    • weak e.g. 1% hydrocortisone
    • moderate e.g. clobetasone butyrate (Eumovate)
    • strong e.g. betamethasone 17-valerate (Betnovate)
    • very strong e.g. clobetasol propionate (Dermovate)
