vin rose patch

This is a congenital, intradermal, vascular abnormality characterised by an area of pale pink colouration. It is caused by a mild dilation of vessels in the sub-papillary dermal plexus. The discolouration however is not sufficiently dark to be disfiguring and the lesion is commonly excepted as a minor birthmark.
