Quinagolide is a D2 dopamine receptor agonist which may be used to treat hyperprolactinaemia.

Quinagolide is as effective as bromocriptine in reducing prolactin levels and is as well tolerated as once-daily bromocriptine.

Quinagolide is more expensive than the other dopmaine receptor agonists and is probably worth considering only in patients resistant to bromocriptine and cabergoline (1).
