Secondary glaucoma is glaucoma resulting from any other identifiable pathology. Treatment of the underlying cause may be sufficient.

Aqueous drainage may be obstructed secondary to:

  • inflammation
  • neovascularisation
  • pigment dispersion
  • pseudoexfoliation
  • lens induced
  • drug induced
  • surgical / trauma induced
  • haemorrhage
