Granulomatous orchitis describes a non-infective inflammation of the testis that is characterised histologically, by a diffuse, granulomatous infiltrate.
It is common, and mainly follows trauma or surgery involving the spermatic cord.
The patient presents with a diffusely firm and enlarged testis. Differentiation from tumour may be difficult.
