Tachycardia (non sinus)
Non sinus tachycardia occurs when an abnormally fast heart rate is the result of re-entry circuits or ectopic foci which take over the pacemaking function from the sino-atrial node.
This occurs in supraventricular tachycardia (atrial or non-atrial), atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia.
