Strong risk factors absent or BMD T>-1.5
This applies to patients with no prevalent fracture, aged under 65 years with a steroid dose under the equivalent of 15mg prednisolone daily.
If strong risk factors are absent and the spine or hip BMD T score is greater than -1.5, it is recommended that the BMD is remeasured after 1 year.
