Homosexuality

Authoring team

Homosexuality is the circumstance where a person is sexually attracted to persons of the same sex.

Homosexuality is not an all-or-none phenomenon. The term homosexual may be used to describe the person, what they do, or what interests them.

Thus at one end of the scale there is the person who is entirely homosexual in orientation and has only homosexual relationships. Another individual may be sexually attracted by members of their own sex but never or only occasionally gets involved in a homosexual relationship. Finally some individuals are bisexual, showing similar interest in both homosexual or heterosexual relationships and being able to enjoy either.
