Frenulum (torn)
A torn frenulum is usually seen in young males following intercourse or as a result of the foreskin being caught in the zip of trousers.
No treatment is necessary except reassurance and, if appropriate, advice about intercourse. A catgut stitch should be given if the frenula artery has been torn and there is bleeding. Recurrence of the condition may warrant circumcision.
