The supraventricular crest of the right ventricle is a rounded accentuation of its muscular wall demarcating the inflow and outflow tracts. It extends between the pulmonary orifice inferiorly and to the right to the atrioventricular orifice.
The superior origin is upon the interventricular septum where it may be in contact with the upper limit of the septomarginal trabecula. The inferior attachment is the anterior and lateral wall of the right ventricle. Between these two sites, the anterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve may be attached.
