Late dumping
Late dumping is a reactive hypoglycaemia caused by increased insulin output in response to an earlier hyperglycaemia brought about by rapid gastric emptying.
Symptoms occur 1 - 2 hours after meals and comprise faintness, sweating, tremor, nausea and feelings of emptiness. Symptoms are relieved by eating more food.
