Aberrations of breast development
Breasts develop throughout puberty and then continue to undergo cyclical changes with the menstrual cycle. In the event of pregnancy the breasts double their weight at term.
Many benign conditions in the developing and mature phases of the life cycle of the breast occur so often that they might be considered to be aberrations rather than disease.
