CRP (no increase)
Little or no rise in ACP/CRP occurs in:
- osteoarthritis
- SLE
- leukaemia
- anaemia
- polycythaemia
- viral infection
- ulcerative colitis
- pregnancy
- oestrogens or steroids
As a comparison, CRP DOES rise in the following related conditions:
- inflammatory arthritides
- vasculitides
- carcinoma
- infarction (MI, PE)
- bacterial infection
- Crohns disease
- burns and necrosis
- tissue rejection
