Authoring team

This multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 4228 patients with reduced left ventricular function (ejection fraction <35%) but without symptomatic heart failure.

The addition of enalapril to the conventional heart failure treatment resulted in a significant 37% decrease in the incidence of heart failure.
