RADIANCE trial

The RADIANCE trial was a prospective, randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled study which investigated the effect of withdrawing digoxin from patients with heart failure.

All patients were in sinus rhythm and had stable class II/III NYHA heart failure treated with diuretics, ACE inhibitors and digoxin.

93 patients were randomised to withdrawal of digoxin and 85 continued with digoxin.
