Diagnosis
Diagnosis of neurosarcoidosis is often dependent upon evidence of the disease elsewhere, for example, hilar adenopathy, or uveitis, in conjunction with the neurological manifestations.
Useful tests to perform include CSF; imaging; biopsy of the enlarged gland, skin lesion, muscle or nerve; raised serum anti - cholinesterase; and the Kveim test.
