Thin membrane nephropathy
- this is an autosomal dominant condition
- presents with persistent microscopic haematuria (there also may be minor proteinuria)
- renal function and blood pressure are normal
- diagnosis
- family history
- renal biopsy reveals thin glomerular capillary basement membrane
- this condition is not associated with the deterioration of renal function
