Spinal claudication
Spinal claudication is pain in the buttocks and legs brought on by exercise with the back in an extended position.
Spinal claudication may be mistaken for:
- intermittent claudication due to arterial disease, or
- typical lumbar disc prolapse
It is relieved by sitting, bending forward or lying down.
