Children's Act 1989

The Children Act of 1989 bought together and reformed a number of previous acts pertaining to children. The act describes the guiding principles courts should abide by when dealing with children - of which the central tenet is that the welfare of the child is paramount - and sets out the various orders which may be taken out with respect to children.
