Childhood psychiatric diseases
A childhood psychiatric disorder can be defined as a persistent disturbance of behaviour, emotions or relationships. The disturbance must be abnormal for the socio-cultural background of the child and his stage of development, and accompanied by impaired social or personal functioning, or distorted development.
