At 18 months - gross motor skills
- walks more steadily but some normal children are not walking yet, particularly bottom shufflers
- very active, some constructive activity, for example building two or three cubes into a tower, putting the lid on the box
- note stability and gait pattern
- can stoop and pick up an object from the floor without overbalancing
- can push or pull toys around the floor
- can run for a short distance
