Body stalk anomaly
Body stalk anomaly is a major congenital abnormality affecting the anterior abdominal wall. The primary defect is a very short umbilical cord attachment to the apex of the sac.
Co-existent lesions include severe spinal deformity, cloacal exstrophy and hypoplastic legs.
