Equinus deformity

Authoring team

This is a club foot deformity with foot and ankle in plantar flexion. It is usually associated with varus or valgus deformity. Less commonly, it may result from a long standing venous ulcer where the patient finds relief by walking on the toes; after some years, the Achilles tendon eventually becomes contracted.
