IgD (summary and causes of reduced and increased levels)
IgD is to be found on the surface of some B cells.
Causes of increased levels include:
- chronic infection
- IgD myelomas (greatly increased)
- autoimmune disease
Causes of reduced levels include:
- hereditary deficiencies
- acquired immunodeficiencies
- non-IgD myeloma
- infancy, early childhood
