Clinical features
These include:
- hypotelorism, with oblique palpebral fissures and variable premaxillary agenesis and underdeveloped nasal bones. Consequently, there may be bilateral cleft lip with absent philtrum
- mental retardation
- severe holoprosencephaly can result in just a central eye being present - cyclops
