Human T-cell lymphotrophic viruses type I and II are responsible for a range of human disease which may be divided into three categories:
- neoplastic:
- adult T-cell leukaemia
- adult T-cell leukaemia
- neurological:
- tropical spastic paraparesis
- tropical spastic paraparesis
- inflammatory:
- infective dermatitis
- uveitis
- rheumatoid arthritis
- polymyositis
