  • headache
  • neck stiffness
  • non-febrile

The multifocal encephalitic presentation is characterised by:

  • multiple focal neurological deficits in the cerebrum and cerebellum
  • the deficits usually have a subacute onset althoug a stroke-like presentation is recognised
  • confusion
  • memory loss
  • dementia
