Carotid artery territory TIA
Carotid artery TIA - approximately 90% of TIAs. Clinical features include:
- contralateral motor and sensory disturbance
- ipsilateral visual disturbance
- amaurosis fugax - monocular blindness - if the TIA is in the ophthalmic artery territory
- there may be a carotid artery bruit in the neck
