Deformity of the cervical spine
Deformity of the cervical spine is unusual.
Characteristic features may be seen in:
- cervical spondylosis
- Klippel-Feil syndrome - congenital short webbed neck with a low hair line
- acute torticollis
Instability of the cervical spine may easily be missed in a supine patient. Check that the patient can easily support their head.
