  • the MenC conjugate vaccine is protective against Group C disease only. If an individual is travelling abroad to a country where there is a risk of Group A meningococcal disease then they should be immunised with the apppropriate quadrivalent vaccine (ACWY), even if they have received the MenC conjugate vaccine
