Periodic headache
Possible causes of periodic headaches include:
- migraine
- migrainous neuralgia
- headache due to hypertension
- cervical spondylosis may cause neck and occipital headache
- glaucoma is a rare cause of frontal headaches
- carotid artery disease may cause headache or pain in the neck over the vessel if it occludes
- severe headache associated with sexual intercourse
- sinusitis can cause pain over the cheek or frontal region
