Predisposing factors for fungal infection of the CNS
Factors which predispose to fungal infection of the nervous system include:
- AIDS
- chemotherapy and organ transplantation
- leukaemia, lymphoma and other cancers
- diabetes
- connective tissue disease
- corticosteroid therapy
