Clinical features
The patient will have a history of osteomyelitis, and will present with:
- recurrent pain, pyrexia, redness and swelling
- reopening of the sinus
The overlying tissues are often thickened and puckered where they are tethered to the bone.
Any discharge is foul and seropurulent.
There may be excoriation of surrounding skin.
