Major system dysfunction
Major system dysfunction is not always a feature. It may be due to DIC or the underlying disease.
Common patterns include:
- respiratory e.g. dyspnoea, cyanosis
- neurologic e.g. convulsions, coma
- renal e.g. oliguria, acute renal failure
- cardiac e.g. circulatory failure, shock
