Clinical features
The clinical features of polycystic ovarian syndrome include: (1)
menstrual disturbance:
- oligomenorrhoea
- amenorrhoea
- dysfunctional uterine bleeding
- anovulatory infertility
- hirsutism
- acne
- male-pattern hair loss
- acanthosis nigricans may occur - a cutaneous marker of hyperinsulinaemia
- central obesity
