Intermenstrual bleeding (IMB) is defined as bleeding from the vagina at any time in the menstrual cycle other than normal menstruation.

  • between 13% and 21% of naturally menstruating women are thought to affected,
  • the prevalence may vary significantly with age

Treatment is dependent upon cause
