restlessness, dizziness, disturbed sleep
severe neuropsychiatric adverse reactions - occur at an incidence of about 1 in 10,000 to 20,00 patients with prophylactic doses. Various neuropsychiatric reactions have been reported includind depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, panic, confusion, hallucinations, paranoid delusions and convulsions. Several studies have shown that neuropsychiatric adverse events are commoner in women taking mefloquine than in men (1).
