Superoxide dimutase
Superoxide dimutase is a cellular enzyme that converts 2 superoxide ions and protons into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. Physiologically, it is one means by which free radicals are degraded.
Copper is a co-factor in superoxide dimutase.
