Clinical features
Possible clinical features include:
- abdominal pain - in the right upper quadrant
- may be precipitated by abdominal wall contraction or deep breathing
- associated tenderness in the upper abdomen and discolouration below the right costal margin 12 to 24 hours after the onset of the pain
