Hepatitic biochemical profile
The typical hepatitic picture on liver function tests consists of:
- elevation of the aminotransferases out of proportion to the alkaline phosphatase
- conjugated hyperbilirubinaemia
- prolongation of the prothrombin time which is resistant to correction with parenteral vitamin K
