Functional dyspepsia
Non-ulcer dyspepsia is defined as:
- recurrent upper abdominal pain
- symptoms for at least one month
- symptoms for more than 25% of the time
- the absence of a positive diagnosis following:
- biochemistry
- endoscopic imaging
- ultrasound imaging
There is significant overlap between non-ulcer dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome.
