Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome
The Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome describes inflammation of the liver capsule, a perihepatitis, due to gonococcal or Chlamydia trachomatis infection.
It is usually associated with pelvic inflammatory disease, and rarely, occurs in men.
Clinically, it may present with a friction rub over the liver.
