Investigations
Investigations worth requesting in suspected glomus tumour include:
- basal skull X-ray - often reveals an osteolytic lesion expanding the jugular foramen
- CT - confirms the basal skull x-ray
- angiography - of external carotid artery or vertebral artery - often demonstrates a vascular tumour
