Dental emergencies
Dental emergencies seen by doctors include:
- dental caries and secondary infections
- gingivitis
- wisdom tooth problems
- pain after dentistry or unsatisfactory filling
- dental haemorrhage
- dental trauma
- dislocation of the temporomandibular joint and
- jaw fracture
Pain referred to the jaw and teeth may come from other sites in the head and neck, tooth problems elsewhere and heart or chest conditions
