There is a risk of chronic kidney disease and hypertension in patients taking regular aspirin. This may be due to inhibition of the synthesis of vasodilator prostaglandins.
The therapeutic effect of enalapril, in reducing systemic and pulmonary vascular resistance, may be abolished by aspirin.
