Haemangioma of the skin

A cutaneous haemangioma is a benign tumour made up of newly-formed blood vessels in the skin.

Different types of haemangioma are recognised:

  • capillary naevus
  • port-wine stain
  • vin rose patch
  • cavernous haemangioma - strawberry naevus
  • cherry angioma - Campbell de Morgan's spot
  • telangiectasia
